FAQ

Where do you source your tea?

Our tea is sourced from the finest tea estates in top-tea producing nations such as China, Taiwan, Japan, India, Sri Lanka and South Africa. Many of these farms are operated by artisanal crafters who have learned from wisdom passed down through generations and have perfected their craft over time. We only source from sustainable farms, and we guarantee your teas arrive at premium freshness, flavor, and quality.

How much tea does 1 oz of tea make?

One ounce of tea can usually make 12-20 cups of tea. It is important to note all of our teas are top quality, so they can be steeped at least 2-3 times without losing flavor.  So you get double or triple the amount of tea you get compared to lower quality tea leaves!

"The first cup moistens my lips and throat. The second cup breaks my loneliness. The third cup searches my barren entrails but to find therein some thousand volumes of odd ideographs. The fourth cup raises a slight perspiration — all the wrongs of life pass out through my pores. At the fifth cup I am purified. The sixth cup calls me to the realms of the immortals. The seventh cup — Ah! but I could take no more! I only feel the breath of the cool wind that raises in my sleeves. Where is Elysium? Let me ride on this sweet breeze and waft away thither." ~Lo T'ung

How long does your tea stay fresh?

Tea generally has very long shelf life. However, if not stored well, it does lose flavor and become stale over time. We recommend drinking our teas within one year of purchase. To maximize freshness, keep the teas airtight, dry, and out of direct sunlight. We serve all of our teas in re-sealable pouches made especially to keep teas fresh!
